Vermont Peanut Butter was one of, if not the first company to add whey isolate protein to several of our products. We know this because we began mixing in late 2008, and we cannot find another nut butter on the market that was doing this then. We are so proud of being a leader in designing the very best nut butter ever created! When it comes to whey, there are three types and they are WHEY different. There is Whey, Whey Concentrate, and Whey Isolate. Whey isolate has a triple filtration process eliminating 99% of the lactose found in dairy products. This makes the protein in whey isolate more absorbable tha, chicken, fish or eggs! It is odorless and tasteless, and was the perfect choice to increase the protein in a few of the products we make, but not all of them. Our Good Karma, Avalanche, Mad River Mojo, Green Mountain Goodness, Stowe Cinnamon Raisin and Maple Walnut all have the whey isolate.
